Enrollment terms and conditions
Parents will be able to register for their child’s classes by choosing from dates appearing on our online calendar. We only present four to six weeks of classes on our calendar at one time. New classes are posted on the 15th of each month. Dates, times, and locations are subject to change. To reserve a spot you must email Adrielle@singsmartactsmart.com at least ten days prior to the date you wish to book. We are frequently unable to accommodate last minute requests. We maintain a first come, first serve waiting list for each “full” class. You will be notified if space becomes available. SSASY adapts class activities to best serve the skills and abilities of the participants of each and every class. No child will “fall behind” if he or she is unable to take classes in quick succession.
SSASY follows the closures of the NYC Public School System. If school is canceled due to snow or other inclement weather conditions, parents will be permitted to make-up those classes on another date specified by SSASY.
ATTENDANCE & CANCELLATION POLICY
Sing Smart Act Smart YOUTH is unable to offer refunds or make-ups for missed classes. All absences result in forfeiture of fees/voucher per class missed. It may be possible to reschedule a class if adequate notice is given. We will do our best to offer an alternative class in the case of illness, injury, or family emergency. But make-up classes are not guaranteed and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Waiting lists may be used in these cases as well.Once you book a class that class is considered forfeited as part of your package. E.G. if you have purchased a package of (4) classes, scheduled (2) classes but miss (1) class, only (2) classes remain to be completed.
SING SMART ACT SMART CLASS VIEWING
Unfortunately SSASY workshops are not set up for viewing. Parents are not permitted to sit in on class. If you have purchased a package, you will be invited to observe the last 15 minutes of the final class. Generally, every fourth class your child completes will conclude with a brief performance of skills examined.
SSASY classes are held in professional rehearsal spaces. Therefore, we ask that waiting areas are utilized by only parents, guardians, and their children over the age of six.Not all rehearsal spaces are stroller-friendly. Please plan accordingly. There are other productions rehearsing in surrounding studios at all time. Please be considerate. Any disruptions may result in dismissal from the studio. Please arrive on time for each class. Latecomers may not be permitted to enter a class already in session. Studios are rented hourly, so you MUST pick your child up promptly at the  conclusion of class. If a SSASY instructor has to wait with your child to be picked up more than 10 minutes after class has ended, you be charged an additional fee of $25 that must be paid before your child may attend any further classes. If your children has permission to depart alone, we require advance approval from a parent or guardian.
